Evaluation & Consultation Services
Is your child not challenged by school? Do they appear to catch on faster than their peers? A gifted evaluation involves administering a full intellectual assessment, often referred to as an "IQ test." The assessment will also take into consideration the child's academic history and background.
Evaluations can be done to address the following: Giftedness, Specific Learning Disabilities (including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia), Developmental Delays, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (including anxiety and depression). While these are the most common types of evaluations done for children and adolescents, this list does not cover every scenario. Please call to discuss your specific concerns and needs.

Evaluations are done to address how your child is functioning, and in some cases, if their profile is consistent with that of a specific condition. It is important to note that the criteria used by the school system to determine eligibility for programming and/or accommodations (e.g., EP, IEP, 504) is specific and additional criteria may be required.
